Scott Dickson has been making a name for himself with his chill synth pop known as Closed Cassette and now he takes off in a more ethereal and meditative direction with his Local Winds project. This is music made from the synthesized waves of wind on the Great Plains; once an inland sea. It is ambient music that shares kinship with the best of 90's ambient but is most thoroughly contemporary. Freed from the confines of voice and song structure it will be interesting to see which way the wind will blow Scott Dickson
